L.E.A.D. (Leaders Educating Against Drugs) is a youth advisory group of Nassau County students who are passionate about creating positive change in their schools and community. L.E.A.D. members bring youth voice to the table, helping shape prevention projects, events, and campaigns that directly impact their peers.
For Students Who Want to Speak Up, Step Up, and Shape the Future
We’re looking for students who want to make a difference and be a voice for positive change in Nassau County. If you’re passionate about health, wellness, or prevention, and ready to team up with other motivated students L.E.A.D. is the perfect place for you. Whether you’re involved in sports, clubs, or other community activities, your perspective matters, and your leadership can inspire real change.
The best part? Being part of L.E.A.D. is flexible! We know school and life come first! Along the way, you’ll build leadership skills, make meaningful connections with other youth leaders, and strengthen your resume. Plus, you’ll earn community service hours while creating a healthier, safer community for your peers.

Getting involved is easy! Just apply online or reach out to Caitlin Miller, Community Director.
If you’re under 18, you’ll just need a parent/guardian’s okay.
Participation is flexible, so you can be as involved as your schedule allows.
