Screenagers: Promoting Digital Wellness and Mental Health

Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age Trailer

The Screenagers initiative is an educational program addressing the growing mental health challenges linked to excessive screen time and digital consumption among youth. More than just a screening of the award-winning documentary, this initiative fosters community
engagement through educational discussions, panel sessions, and parent study groups. By bringing parents, educators, and students together, the program provides a structured space to explore strategies for cultivating healthier digital habits.

The documentary examines the impacts of social media addiction, video game overuse, and internet dependency, highlighting their connection to increased anxiety,  depression, and isolation, as well as diminished in-person communication. Through evidence-based solutions and practical tools, Screenagers empowers families and communities to navigate digital challenges, align with our coalition’s mission to promote mental wellness and digital literacy, and reduce the negative effects of excessive screen time.
